Haiku Friends formed in the blossom of Spring 2009 with the aim of each contributor writing a Haiku a week
So what is a Haiku?
One Dictionary describes it as;
haiku |ˈhīˌkoō; ˌhīˈkoō|
noun ( pl. same or -kus )
a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
• an English imitation of this.
ORIGIN Japanese, contracted form of haikai no ku ‘light verse.’
Or perhaps I can describe it in Haiku form;
What Is A Haiku?
Japanese In Origin
They Are Short Thought Rides
Or Maybe
What’s A Haiku For?
It’s The Joy Of The Journey
It’s Learning To See
We hope you enjoy our Haiku
